INDONESIA - JAKARTA - Since the 2008/2009 academic year, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) opens scholarship program for international students to learn the language and culture of Indonesia.
"The scholarship program is named UPI International Scholarships 2011 This is one way UPI strengthen cooperation with foreign universities who become partners UPI," from sites such as disitat UPI, on Monday (2/28/2011).
The scholarship program aims to introduce the language and culture of Indonesia to the international community so as to create a good image of Indonesia. The participants UPI International Scholarships will have the opportunity to learn the language and culture of Indonesia for a maximum of six months, or approximately 360 hours.
The educational program includes four language skills, grammar, and translation and translating. Education about Indonesian culture is integrated with the various themes which have been determined referring to the needs of students. These themes include the field of ideology, political, economic, social, cultural, defense and security, law, international relations, and various other current issues.
The participants of the international scholarship program UPI also given the opportunity to learn the sport and the arts on campus UPI for two to three courses or the equivalent of six to eight credits. Their study will be transferred to the college from the participants.
Selected candidates will receive scholarships in the form of tuition fees, living expenses, and costs of immigration. Registration program is open until late April 2011, and the announcement of selected candidates conducted in May 2011. Lectures will begin in June 2011.
