Adaro For Scholarships in Borneo

Ten best students and the achievement of Tabalong regency, South Kalimantan, received scholarships to the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB). This scholarship is awarded by PT Adaro Indonesia, a mining company known for its trademark the coal.
In a written statement which was quoted on Saturday (03/07/2010), Adaro Regional Delegates Scholarship program aims to explore the potential of students around the operational areas of the company. With this program, scholarship recipients are expected to develop the regions that they have moved at science.
"Regional Delegates Scholarship Program provides the opportunity for students to learn the best areas in the IPB and rebuild the region, and Adaro has provided an opportunity to the students the best in the region," said Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs IPB Yonny Koesmaryono when handover Scholarship Representative area some time ago in IPB.
Large funds expended in this scholarship program reached Rp1, 236 billion. The ten awardees will receive a full scholarship, including living expenses, for five years of study at IPB.
"From 2001 until late 2009, Adaro has provided scholarships to more than 8700 students both elementary, junior high, high school, or university. And through the Regional Delegates Scholarship program, it is hoped the students will be able to return to the region and build its own country," said General Operation Manager Adaro Priyadi.
The program is also the result of collaboration Adaro with IPB. IPB Adaro chosen because it has the potential to develop students' abilities in the field of agriculture so that later they can develop the agricultural potential in the area of ​​origin. The awardees will study in the department of Chemistry, Agronomy and Horticulture, Nutritional Sciences, Biochemistry, Mathematics, and Environmental Resource Economics, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Physics.
